In 2001, Jesse Briggs (sejje) and John Settino (nion) created KneeSlappers.net, a comedy image site which, at its peak, contained an archive of an unprecedented 750+ images. In 2003, KS.NET fizzled out and the domain was subsequently nabbed by a squatter.

Fast forward to 2008: The two creators decided it was time to get things rolling again. Bummed that that couldn't resurrect the original name (the domain is still being squatted), they chose LMFAO.US instead.

9/11/2009 - 1 year Anniversary!

2/7/2009 - Reacquired kneeslappers.net and pointed it at lmfao.us :)

8/17/2008 - Domain acquired, frontend setup, backend coding in progress

8/20/2008 - Coding in progress. Image upload functional. Image moderation and queue is current developmental focus.

8/23/2008 - Currently 159 active images. I'm hoping we go live soon!

9/10/2008 - We are 10 minutes away from launch: 9/10/2008 @ 11:50PM EST!
